| The biggest mistake most people make when soldering is failing
to get the interior of the fitting and the exterior of the pipe
clean and shiny. Polish these surfaces with a fine emery clot until
bright. When soldering, never heat the pipe, but instead heat the
fitting. Doing so allows the solder to be drawn into the fitting
by capillary action. If you don't want to bother, with all this,
then we have another idea...Just call Hancock Plumbing |

- If you are using a plunger, trying to unblock a blocked sink, cover
up the overflow holes with a damp cloth. It helps build up the
pressure.
- Remember to use PTFE tape when fixing a leak or making joints. The
tape should be wrapped around the thread of the pipe. Clockwise
when viewed from the end of pipe.
- If the water pressure is very poor in your shower it may be due to
lime-scale build up. If you live in a hard water area you should clean
your shower heads every 3 months or so

leaking pipe. When you suspect a leak, check the fixtures first to make
sure all the faucets are tightly closed. Go to the water meter, If the
